Better Business Writing

The Better Business Writing workshop provides practical experience in current business communications.

Training Objective

Participants learn to write business messages (e.g. memos and letters) confidently, effectively and efficiently.

Delivery

  • 16 to 24 hours, flexible delivery: full or half day sessions
  • Maximum 15 participants, for individual conferencing
  • Training Methods

To maximize learning and skills’ transfer, participants write, discuss and rewrite using relevant company messages and formats. Participants develop their writing skills and learn new strategies by working on real, work-related communication problems with others, and by analyzing their writing in discussions with their colleagues and the trainer.

Customized handouts or workbooks are supplied.

Customized course content provides the best learning. Through the prior needs assessment, the trainer identifies both organizational and individual perspectives and objectives. These objectives become the focus of the workshops. Examples of company formats and participants’ writing are required as part of the prior needs assessment material.

Learning Measurements

Participants receive on-going assessment and evaluation from the expert facilitator. Moreover, participants assess their own and colleagues' writing according to criteria established by company decision-makers and themselves
